I was the taper of this show, so i'm a little biased, but this was a great show. Sold out, the crowd was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop, which is rare in sold out belly up shows. even 'quiet' artists still have the occasional talker at the bar, but not this night. Playing mostly stuff of his 'new' at the time 2nd album, he did a mix of solo / band stuff. Really great voice. Picking him to join the ranks of Zero 7 for their 'Garden' CD was a great choice. The show was a perfect length and had great passion and emotion. I had to write to Jose's management to get this on archive.org. Lucky me, he allowed this to be the one approved show on archive.org. I had to also add it to the front page as a staff pick, because it is so good. Stream this show now!

definitely worth your time!
I have never seen Jose, but I have listened to every album he has released, and he is by far, my absolute favorite solo acoustic guitarist songwriter. Its like early Neil Young felt to people in the 60's, I guess :)

Jose Gonzalez - Belly Up Tavern 26.11.07
Great show and ambience as well as a quality recording. VERY appreciative audience indeed.
NOTE: Teardrop and Small Town Boy are covers...1st is by Massive Attack and 2nd, by UK gay band, Erasure?
Thanks for posting this and thanks to Jose/management for allowing.
